Prince Charming

Daddy still has supreme rule over the heart of Caitlyn, even though he has been gone for almost four months now. While I get to be with her every day, and we share great times (well at least I think so) she has an even bigger sense of independence now. Trying to buckle her own seat belt or putting on her own shoes. Whenever I try to help, I get "No, mom." Or if it comes to holding my hand in the parking lot, she says no and crosses her arms. So, as I feel like I'm getting the shove off from my princess, Daddy has grown even higher on the totem pole. Caitlyn now kisses Daddy's picture on the computer or his pictures that she carries around. Sweet, I know, but what really broke my heart is when she looked at me this morning and after her round of kissing the computer screen, she looked at me, and said "Daddy, home" and pointed at the door. That was a heart breaker for me. So I explained that Daddy still loves her and will be home soon. She smiled and I'd like to think she kinda understood. Then when I asked for my kiss...well, we all know that that didn't happen. lol. :) At least I do get cuddle time after naps...now to wait for her to wake up...
