Where's Daddy? This is what I hear all day when Mike is at work. As soon as Caitlyn wakes up, she comes into our bed, and of course asks where he is. From then on, every time she hears someone outside, she starts screaming, "Daddy!!" and sadly I have to explain that no, he is not home yet. Then, if we go for a walk, every guy she sees from far away, she starts waving and shouting "Daddy?" and once again I have to explain that he is not here yet. I swear everyone at Mt. Trashmore heard her screaming for him when we working out and Daddy ran ahead of us. It is so cute, I love it. But I am truly grateful that Mike will not be doing any more deployments. It would just break my heart too much to explain to her that he really wouldn't be coming home for a long time. Not that I enjoyed having him go on two deployments in the past 2 years, but I am grateful that it happened while Caitlyn was young. Now she can have her Daddy all the time and I will never have to have that horrible deployment talk. It just reminds me how truely blessed we are. But I think Caitlyn asking for Daddy is the best thing ever for Mike, because as soon as he walks in the door she runs and gives him the biggest hugs and kisses ever. And I've never seen a bigger smile from either of them.

Donuts!!
Not that I'm sure how a donut can even be classified as a breakfast food, Daddy spoiled Caitlyn and got her one this morning. Caitlyn being the chocolate lover like her father, loved them. But she ate them from the top, instead of from the side. Interesting, but surprisingly, not messy.

Big Sister
Well, it's official. Caitlyn is going to be a big sister!! October 2 is the big day! We just found out today and couldn't be happier. Caitlyn is excited along with Mommy, but has no clue why. I guess as my belly grows I'll be able to explain it to her better. But we are hoping to have a healthy baby, boy or girl, that is as wonderful as his or her's big sister. Here's to a healthy and happy 9 months!

More Homecoming Pictures

I received a few more pictures from someone else camera from Mike's homecoming. The second one is a picture of Mike when he was first stepping off the boat to come greet us. The last one was taken as the boat was slowly being tugged in. Of course the Santa standing on the top scared Caitlyn so much she was afraid he was going to come "attack" her while Daddy was coming off the boat. This whole experience was so much and I'm so grateful that we have pictures to help remember them, or at least for Caitlyn. I know that Mike and I will never forget this moment and all the feelings and emotions that came along with it. We are so happy that this was our last deployment and come this December, we will embark on a new part of our life as Mike gets out of the Navy. Wish us luck!

New Camera
So Mommy got a new camera for Christmas, and I am already in love with it. Caitlyn is too. She continuously goes around saying "cheese!" Though as soon as I go to take her picture, she turns her head so I only get a profile shot. Oh well. This is just the beginning with many more pictures to come.

Taking Down Christmas Decorations
Today I finally tackled the task of putting the house back to normal. What a chore that was. Took me forever. But what was great was the fact that I wrapped all the pictures on the walls to look like presents. So when I went to take it all down, Caitlyn was more than excited to help "unwrap" them all. Every time we would start a new one, she would say "I want one" or "I want that". I kept explaining that we already had it, so she couldn't want what she already had. So, after that, every time we would open one, she would say "I have that" What a little smarty pants.

How Could I?
Caitlyn will tell us if her diaper is wet or dirty. Not unusual. But the other day we put her in her room for nap time. She cried as usual and I heard her scream "down, down." We ignored it being the great parents we are and figured she was just trying to get our attention. I went in to check on her, just to find out that she had a dirty diaper and wanted us to change her. When we didn't come in, she needed help getting down from her changing table, and since we didn't come, she took her nap right there. Once again, Mother of the year is not going to be one of my nominations! :)

Getting Into a Routine
Daddy has been home for almost two weeks now, and we are finally adjusting to it all. Caitlyn loves all the extra attention and is talking so much more now. Against Daddy's better wishes, one of her favorite sayings is "Yee Haw." So, a little bit of my love of country is rubbing off, but that isn't too bad in my book. We have also figured out that Mommy is her lovie. She never has warmed up to a certain blanket or stuffed animal, and that is because she has me. If Daddy gets too close, she'll come running up and steal me away. She will make sure I wrap my arms around her or she will start kissing me, watching Daddy the entire time. Caitlyn is such a cutie, I swear.
We also had Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Jason and Aunt Michelle come visit us this past weekend. Talk about loving all the extra attention. I don't think I had to do a single thing for my child for three days. It was as if I didn't exist. She got to go swimming and see the ocean from the balcony of their hotel. She even got to sleep over with Grandma and Grandpa and loved it. Didn't even miss Mommy or Daddy. She got her spoiled rotten way and loved every minute of it. It completely warmed my heart to see her go right up to everyone. Especially Grandpa. She was afraid of him last time, but not any more. She would call out to him and if given the oppurtunity, he is the first one she wants to call on the phone. Being the smartie she is, she knows who to suck up to already. Little evil one. LOL. As part of her gift they sent, besides a princess bike, Uncle Jason bought her her own camera. It is great to see pictures from her point of view. I will post some shortly.
Next we had New Years. And at the old age of 2, Caitlyn stayed up and watched the ball drop. She danced the entire night. At first she was pouting, just to find out she wanted to dress up like Mommy. After I dressed her up, she was dancing like crazy. Shaking her butt and singing along. We thought she would never run out of energy. She would run up to people and tell them to dance. "Dance, Dance!!" she would yell as she would grab their hand to pull them up. A little party animal. I see lots of trouble in the future, but for now, it's cute. :)
We have lots planned for the rest of the time Daddy is home. Trying to enjoy every moment. I'll post some pictures shortly. Love to everyone!!
